Surrey Scorchers suffered a narrow 89-83 defeat against the visiting Cheshire Phoenix at Surrey Sports Park on Saturday.

The second period saw both sides compete for the lead, whilst the game was briefly held up whilst Quincy Taylor searched the floor for his contact lenses.

Captain Ogedengbe said after the game “We are always working hard. It’s just not falling in our direction at the moment. We’ll keep working at it, keep doing what we’re doing and we’ll get there.”
