Quins name Gustard as Head of Rugby. 24th May 2018

Harlequins have announced that England defence Coach Paul Gustard will join the London Club as Head of Rugby, following the conclusion of England’s summer tour to South Africa.
The former Saracens assistant coach joined Eddie Jones and his coaching team at the start of 2016.
The appointment will see the previous Director of Rugby role at Quins split in two, Head of Rugby and General Manager.
42-year-old Gustard, will over-see the day-to-day coaching of Quins rugby squads. He will be working alongside the General Manager, who will be responsible for enabling high performances across the Clubs entire rugby departments and player and coach recruitment and contracts. Both posts will report to the Chief Executive.
This week the club also announced the signing of Wasps second row Matt Symons for next season.
The 6ft 7inch, 18 stone man has experienced Super Rugby before, courtesy of a season with the Chiefs, where he captained the side.
The club have also released three pre-season fixtures.
On Saturday 11th August 2018 Quins travel to Jersey to face the Greene King Championship side. The sides last met at the Stoop in 2017 when Harlequins won 47-21.
Seven days later Quins travel up to Scotland to face Guinness Pro 14 side Glasgow Warriers in Perth. The famous Grouse Pre-Season Challenge will be played at Perthshire RFC’s North Inch ground. On the last occasion when these sides locked horns, Quins edged victory 22-17 at the Stoop in 2016.
Harlequins will host its first game of the 2018/19 season with a London derby against Ealing Trailfinders on Friday 24th August.
