Woking had to come from two goals down to earn a hard-earned point at Hayes lane on Tuesday.

The home side took the lead through a Kory Roberts header on the half hour mark. Charlie Wakefield doubled the Ravens advantage in the second half with the points looking to be going to Bromley. However, a late brace from Jayden Wareham salvaged a point for the Cards.

Woking were without captain Josh Casey due to a shoulder injury, with Craig Ross given the captains arm band.

The first chance fell to the Cards with Max Kretzschmar in a good position, but unfortunately scuffed his shot.  A long throw from the home side bounced awkwardly in the penalty area with Woking failing to clear and the ball just out of the reach of the dangerous Michael Cheek.

The Cards went close with a corner that saw Moussa Diarra pop up inside the six-yard box with a downward header that went wide.

After 30 minutes the deadlock was broken when a Frankie Raymond was whipped into the area where a Roberts glancing header across the goal nestled into the corner of the net.

Bromley went close to adding to their lead when a Byron Webster header was a whisker away. On the stroke of half time Woking created their main chance of the half when a Ben Gerring downward header was pushed over the bar by Mark Cousins.

Woking made a change at the start of the second half by bringing on youngster Wareham.

The second half opened with Charlie Wakefield’s shot stinging the hands of Ross. Moments later Jonny Goddard’s dipping shot went just over the bar.

A mazy run from Jack Bridge inside the area concluded with a shot from a tight angle that was pushed away from Ross.

On 62 minutes the Ravens doubled their advantage when the ball was given away by the visitors with Wakefield’s shot outside the area nestling into the corner of the net.

Cards Manager Alan Dowson made a double change by bringing on Slavi Spasov and Malachi Napa with Napa looking bright and lively.

Another set piece from Bromley saw a Roberts header cleared of the line by Ben Gerring. Woking responding with a Spasov header saved by Cousins.

With the three points looking like going to the home side, Woking hit back with two goals inside 14 minutes. A Diarra header saw Wareham hook the ball into the net to pull a goal back for the Cards- the first for the Cards in the league in over a month.

The visitors pushed for an equaliser with a low stooping header from Napa cleared of the line by the excellent Roberts.

A free kick from Chris Bush up and over the wall fell inches wide before Woking drew level when a shot was only parried by Cousins and there was Wareham to poke the ball home.

With five minutes of added time shown on the board, both sides pushed for the winner and Duffers low shot which was deflected wide almost won it for the hosts.
